Blog Name Change

Just letting everyone know that I’ve gone ahead and changed the name of my blog like I talked about here. I was thinking about calling it The Bounty Monitor, but Shintar pointed out someday I may want to change my focus from that of a bounty hunter. While I can’t see myself ever abandoning my BH as my main, she did raise a good point.

The truth is I like the dark side stories in SWTOR better. I know I’m weird that way. I’ve always liked villains in movies and TV shows. It doesn’t take much skill for an actor to be a hero. All heroes are the same and when you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all. Villains on the other hand take great skill to get just right. If they come across as too cheesy than you can’t take them seriously, but those that inspire awe and fear are the great ones. Some examples of my favorite villains are Scorpius from Farscape, Emperor Palpatine from Star Wars, Rumpelstiltskin from Once Upon A time, and Sauron from Lord of the Rings. If it weren’t for the villains there would be no need for heroes to rise up and defeat them.

With that being said, I do enjoy the light side class stories and I have two light side alts in particular that I play often along side my BH and there will be times when I want to talk about my Jedi Knight and Trooper, so after thinking about it, I’ve decided to rename my blog, The Old Republic Era. It’s simple, to the point, and doesn’t cater to either light or dark side. Instead it embraces the game as a whole.

Hopefully, the name change doesn’t inconvenience anyone too much and as promised before I won’t be changing the name of this blog again unless I get slapped with a copyright. I did look it up and couldn’t find anything about the name of the Old Republic era being copyrighted.
