Have You Met Scritchy?

There’s a daily mission on Odessen that I didn’t know about until recently. I was handing in military crates to Admiral Aygo when I noticed a tiny creature in the rafters overhead.

I asked the chat about Scritchy and they told me he was a daily mission. I could feed him using the food next to Doctor Lokin and if I fed him ten times I gained an achievement. They also told me, I could put the food in a crate to capture him and take him to my Rishi stronghold where he’ll eat Speedy and I’ll gain an achievement for that too. I am very attached to Speedy the turtle. Sometimes I’ll follow him up and down the beach, so I’m not sure I want an achievement that will get him eaten.

Feeding Scritchy on the other hand, I can do. Switching between all my level 75 toons I fed him and within a couple days I gained the achievement. As far as relevance goes, this mission has nothing to do with the story or gameplay. It is a fun side quest to do though and I have continued to feed Scritchy nearly ever day even though I already have the achievement. It’s almost like having an ingame pet that needs constant feeding. Fair warning, there might be a bug in the daily mission that was never fixed because sometimes I can’t find Scritchy at all no matter how many times I leave the base and come back.

As for the other achievement…maybe someday I’ll capture Scritchy and take him to my stronghold. I’m going to have to get used to the idea that Speedy will be gone for good. I’ve said this many times to my sister and I’m going to say it again. Bioware loves ripping your heart out, stomping on it, and setting what’s left on fire. Since I love their games so much, I must be a glutton for punishment.
